The Mayflower Federation brings together Phoenix Primary School and Ilderton Primary School in Southwark, London.

Kcreate designed and developed a bespoke WordPress website for the federation, providing a central online presence while ensuring that each individual school maintains its own identity.

Bespoke WordPress Website Design

The website was designed to provide parents, carers, pupils and prospective families with straightforward access to information about the federation and its two schools.

A key part of the project was organising a large amount of school and curriculum information into a clear structure that is easy for visitors to navigate.

The responsive WordPress website works across desktop, tablet and mobile devices, helping families access important school information wherever they are.

Individual Themes for Each School

Although Phoenix Primary School and Ilderton Primary School are part of the same federation, it was important that each school retained its own individual identity.

Kcreate created different visual themes for the two school sections, using distinct colours and styling to differentiate Phoenix Primary School from Ilderton Primary School.

This allows visitors to immediately recognise which school’s area of the website they are viewing, while maintaining a consistent overall structure and user experience across the Mayflower Federation website.

The website provides a central location for a wide range of information, including curriculum content, policies, SEND information, term dates, school contact details and information specifically relating to Phoenix and Ilderton.

Dedicated areas for each school make it straightforward for parents and carers to find information relevant to their child’s school.
